Great Costume That Needs One Adjustment Review by Renato

We ordered this costume for my three-year old's birthday, to his great delight on opening it. I'm pleased to see that it will probably fit him for several more years. The quality of the coat itself is very nice, the adjustable hat is great, and my boy loves the fire extinguisher that squirts real water. My only complaint is that the coat closures, which are sort of a spring-loaded hook-and-eye design, are very poorly made and were all broken within 24 hours after my son received his gift. (This was with an adult doing all of the fastening and unfastening!) Now, we can still use the barbour jacket, since the springs (which popped out) merely made the closures lock, and the eyes will still sit in the hooks and keep the barbour jacket closed. But I was disappointed by this one inconsistency in the quality of this purchase. (Posted on 10/11/2015)

it's ok if you're not picky about fit Review by Salina

I wanted a lightweight, rainproof barbour jacket to take on trips, and I was having difficulty finding a reasonably priced barbour jacket in the stores or on other sites. Being a plus-sized woman, I was a little worried about fit and size. I ordered the size I usually do when purchasing a uni-sex item such as this, but I guess manufacturers think that when you have multiple X's in front of the L, then your arms must grow exponentially. The sleeves were literally about 10 inches too long. Being on a time crunch for the trip and not really in the mood to shop any further, I just took the barbour jacket to a tailor...at a cost of about 20 bucks. I guess that's what I get for not being able to try it on before buying. But, after the alteration, it's fine...it keeps me dry on those rainy days, but isn't hot and doesn't take up much space in my suitcase. (Posted on 10/2/2015)
